Rude Rude Rude

DO NOT book appointments with me and then NOT show up and not tell me that you aren't coming.
I have a life too AND bills to pay. Is it really that hard to make a phone call or shoot a quick text message the day before and let me know that you aren't going to make it? If you cancel properly then I can book someone else in your place and still make the money that I deserve to make.
As a makeup artist I don't work 9-5 Monday-Friday like everyone else that sits behind a desk. Every appt that I book is crucial to my finances. 

It bothers me that people have absolutely no respect these days. It takes all of a minute and half to send me a little text saying "Sorry Mandie, I won't be able to make it out tomorrow but thanks anyways" I would be absolutely fine with that because I can find someone else to take your place since it's still early enough. 

Im not screwed for money or anything, the point is that if I'm expecting work and to have a certain amount of money every week then when it doesn't happen it puts a HUGE kink in my financial status. I'm trying to pay my bills and save money for my future goals/plans but it's really friggin hard when people flake on you all the time. I have much better things to do then wait around for people. 

From now on, I am going to be the QUEEN of contracts (for big projects) because I have learnt the hard way that people are lazy and inconsiderate and I will not get screwed over anymore.
